The great thing about working downtown is being in walking distance of a spectrum of restaurants. I love being able to go to restaurants during lunch, because it’s cheaper and you can treat it like a test run.
Todd Jurich’s Bistro lunch menu ranges from about $10 to $18 entrees. I ordered the mini burgers with a side of truffle french fries; and Ryan ordered shrimp and grits with andouille gravy and onion rings.
My 3 mini burgers came with Tillamook cheese, bacon, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, sweet pickle slice, and small containers of ketchup, mayo and Dijon mustard. You have to assemble your burgers, which is a little cumbersome. Or if you prefer, you can buy nifty tools to make your own sliders at home with cooking tools like an Allstar Big City Slider Station.
The truffle french fries were AMAZING. Thin and crispy, the fries also had a touch of garlic, truffle oil and some other yummy spices.
Ryan enjoyed his meal but said that it was surprisingly spicy. Since he generally likes spicy food, I suppose this means it’s on the higher spectrum of spiciness.
